'The Conversation' is an independent, web-based, source of news and views, sourced from the academic and research community and delivered direct to the public. Since its launch in March 2011, it has grown to become one of Australia’s largest independent news and commentary sites. It is a free resource, and free to share or republish under Creative Commons. It also accepts (and relies on) donations to survive and expand.
'Red Flag' is a paper published (weekly during the pandemic) by Socialist Alternative, Australia's largest Marxist organisation. Each issue features analysis, radical history, Marxist theory and artwork from some of the best left wing writers, designers and artists in the country. Also hosts the annual Socialism Conference.
